タイトルの日付は、義理の祖母がなくなり火葬に立ち会った日。荼毘に付す義理の祖母、無機質なギャラリーのような火葬場にいる自分、日常を過ごす世の中の人々。全て同じ時間軸でのできこと。そんなイメージの重なりを描いた。
同じような日常を繰り返しているようで、時にまるで違う日常がやってくることもある。普段と変わらない日常こそ、大切に生きていきたいと思う。
タペストリー的な形式と一種のイコンのような作品を目指した。
The title is the date I witnessed the cremation of my grandmother in law.
When my grandmother in law was cremated, when I was in a crematorium like an inorganic gallery, when people around the world were alive, they were all on the same time axis. I drew such overlapping images.
Every day seems to repeat similar days, but there are completely different days. I realized that every peaceful days are worth it.
